Month-Long Food Drive to Benefit NCEON

Thoroughout November, you can make a difference by helping us collect non-perishable food to donate to NCEON - the North County Emergency Outreach Network.

NCEON's reserves are low, so our goal is to amass a ton (yes, that's 2000 pounds) of food in the month of November. If we reach our goal, Ed (everyone's favorite long-haired-hippie store owner) will cut his hair off! (well, short, anyway). Ed's hair will be donated to Locks of Love.

So, if you haven't yet donated, please do. There are several grocery stores close to the shop, so it's very easy to pick something up (even if it's just one item) on your way in. If you've already donated, please consider giving again, even if it's only a little bit. Thank you!

We'd also like to thank the folks who organized HeroCon at our shop, as well as Darren Watts, the president of Hero Games. Darren donated some very special items to be auctioned for the cause, and the guys at HeroCon made sure all the attendees knew about the drive. Thanks guys!
