It’s time to let you in on the coolest miniatures event on the east coast this summer. This June 21st and 22nd, Games and Stuff will hold its first all Privateer Press weekend event. This weekend promises to be full of exciting game play, great contests, and interesting panels all aimed at the great fans of WarMachine and Hordes.

Our major event this weekend will be a two day, 750 point WarMachine/Hordes tournament. We are pulling all of the stops out with this Steamroller tournament, including prizes for the top of each faction, best painted army, best sportsman, best Warmaster (General), Player’s Choice, and Best of Tournament. This tournament will be one of the best on the east coast so you do not want to miss it. This will also be a great way for you to see if your armies for the Gen Con tournament will hold up against some of the best players in the area.

Along side the tournament we will be having our “Golden Gears” Painting Competition. This painting competition will allow those of you with a more artistic flair to go all out. We will be following the rules for the Privateer Press Gen Con painting contest so again this will be a great way to get ready for Gen Con.

Other events we are planning will include a Speed Painting event each day of the Spectacular, with prizes for those who can paint the best model in two hours. Seminars will include topics such as Modeling/Converting your miniatures, Selecting a Color Theme/Composition for your army, and Display Boards/Terrain choices for your army.

The tournament for this event will be limited to the first forty people signed up so pre-registering is strongly encouraged. Each tournament will cost $30.00 per person and that will include one free entry into the painting contest. Tournament participants can enter additional models into the contest at a cost of $5.00 per entry. Individuals who are not participating in the tournaments can still enter the painting contest, at a cost of $5.00 per entry. The Speed Painting events and the seminars will be free and are a great way for new fans of WarMachine and Hordes to see how they can get their armies to that next level look.

So if you are new to miniatures gaming and want to learn more or are a true miniature enthusiast, you should keep updated on this major event at http://gamesandstuffonline.com/events.asp. There we will be posting the rules for the tournament, the painting contest and more on other events as we get the information. Hold on to your long coats because this one will be big!
