Altered is getting its proper release date on Friday September 13th, with the inaugural set, Beyond the Gates!
And on Saturday September 28th, we're hosting a Launch Celebration which will include a Learn-to-Play event, and a sealed tournament. Plus, Justin Parnell, the Organized Play Manager for North America will be here to game with us!
What is Altered? Glad you asked!
The publisher of Altered, Equinox is a brand new studio from some of the original minds behind Libellud, the design studio that brought us Dixit, Mysterium, Seasons, Dice Forge.
Altered is "an innovative TCG which offers a new, refreshing approach to both competitive and casual players. Set in a universe of rich lore and visual design (influenced by Miyazaki's work and Dixit-like illustrations), this game is about exploring a new, reshaped Earth after a mysterious event, the Confluence, profoundly altered it."
I got a chance to get a sneak peek at the game back at Gen Con 2023, and that was followed up by a week-long store invasion of some of the Equinox staff for a seven day long Altered preview back in the last days of our old store location in October of 2023. Since then we've had a couple of "Altered Roadshow" events at the store, and the Starter Decks and Kickstarter exclusive packs debuted at the store a few weeks ago. And ever since that first peek I got, it's the been the game I most want to play.
Now the full release of the first set is upon us, with booster packs, starter decks, sleeves, playmats and more, including some gorgeous Altered-branded Gamegenic storage solutions.
To celebrate, we're hosting an Altered Launch Celebration on Saturday September 28th!
*Starting at 10am and running at least until 6pm or so, we'll be hosting an Altered Learn-to-Play event.
Your $15 entry gets you a Starter Deck of your choice (specific choices subject to availability) and a guided experience as you step into the world of Altered!

*Then, starting at 1pm we're going to be having an Altered Sealed Tournament! Take the knowledge you gained during the Learn-to-Play and throw yourself into our first ever limited event!
$40 gets you 7 Kickstarter Edition booster packs to build a deck. Prizing will be awarded to records of 3-0 or better.
