Policies

IMPORTANT NOTE ON HOLIDAY SHIPPING - To ensure the best chance of your package(s) arriving before December 25th, we are advising customers to place orders no later than DECEMBER 17th. As we are a small business, we are at the mercy of the delivery carriers, and therefore cannot guarantee timely delivery during high volume periods. Using expedited shipping and ordering before December 17th, are the best ways to ensure that your items will arrive as early as possible.

MERCHANDISE RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

In-Store Returns (See below for online store returns)

If you have an item that is missing pieces or is otherwise defective, we suggest you contact the publisher of the game to provide the parts to fix the issue. The vast majority of the publishers we deal with have excellent customer service, and this is the most efficient method of getting the problem fixed. That said, we will still happily return or exchange most items if you would prefer to do so.

The following items are NOT eligible for return or refund:

  • Collectible games (opened or sealed). This includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
    • Magic: the Gathering
    • Pokemon TCG
    • Heroclix
    • D&D and Pathfinder Miniatures
  • Pre-Orders*
  • Food and drink
  • Event registration fees
  • Used secondhand items
  • Clearance items
  • Items that are discounted for damage at the point of purchase (“As Is”)

*Pre-Orders are also not eligible for cancellation.

Everything else is eligible for exchange or refund within 30 days of the original purchase (60 days if the item was purchased between November 15th and December 24th).

To return or exchange an item:

  • the item must be completely intact and in the original shrink wrap, if any (defective items are exempt from this).
  • you must provide government-issued, photo ID and the original sales receipt.

Refunds will be provided in the method originally used to pay for the item (credit card, gift card, cash, etc.) In the event that original credit/debit card cannot accessed, the refund will be provided in the form of a Games and Stuff gift card. Note that, for cash refunds of $50 or more, we reserve the right to issue the refund in the form of a company check.

Games and Stuff reserves the right to change this policy at any time and without notice.

Online Store Returns

GAMES AND STUFF IS NOT LIABLE FOR STOLEN PACKAGES OR ITEMS SENT TO AN INCORRECTLY PROVIDED ADDRESS.

We will do all we can to work with you on a missing shipment, but if the delivery service shows and item as delivered, it is on that carrier to provide a refund.

Items purchased through our online store follow the same return policy with the following exceptions.

  • Items shipped incorrectly or damaged are eligible for return and we will send you a label to return the item to us.
  • If you have changed your mind or no longer want the item, you may still return it during the return period, however you are responsible for paying the return shipping cost to send back the item. When it arrives back and we can see the item is still intact and in good condition (the item must still be in the original shrinkwrap or how it was initially sent out), we will issue you a refund for the purchase price (but not the original shipping costs or return shipping costs).
  • *Pre-Orders are also not eligible for cancellation.

Gift Cards

Games and Stuff Gift Cards/Gift Card Codes are valid for purchases both in store and online. Gift cards are valid for all merchandise/event entry with the exception of Private Room Rentals and Additional Gift Cards.

Gift cards are valid for a period of 5 years. If you have a gift card that is older than that, we will make every effort possible to try and redeem that card but please note due to changes in software and providers this may not be possible.

Gift cards have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.

In-Store Events

All events entries at Games and Stuff are non-refundable items. Just like purchasing a concert ticket, there are no cancellation or refunds available for events. Events that come with items attached (Pre-Releases and similar events) must be attended to receive the kits. They cannot be claimed after the event if you do not show up for the event.

Shipping

IMPORTANT NOTE ON HOLIDAY SHIPPING - To ensure the best chance of your package(s) arriving before December 25th, we are advising customers to place orders no later than DECEMBER 17th. As we are a small business, we are at the mercy of the delivery carriers, and therefore cannot guarantee timely delivery during high volume periods. Using expedited shipping and ordering before December 17th, are the best ways to ensure that your items will arrive as early as possible.

Games and Stuff ships out orders Monday through Friday. Orders go out in the order received and are subject to the pick up times of the carriers.

No orders are shipped on Saturday or Sunday. Orders placed on weekends will go out the following business day, depending on volume.

When you place an order you will receive a confirmation email. When your order ships, you will receive another email with tracking information.

Transit times listed by carrier are suggested times only. No carrier guarantees delivery times with the exception of Next Day Air service. All other shipping options are subject to the carrier for delivery and transit. We have no control over an order once it leaves our facility.

Packages that are delivered but stolen from the delivery address are not the responsibility of Games and Stuff. If you suspect package theft you will have to address that with your local police office and the shipping company.

In-Store Pick Ups

Orders placed online for in-store pickup have two weeks to be picked up from the store unless previous arrangements are made for a longer period of time.

At the end of the two weeks, we will contact you again with a final reminder of your unclaimed order, giving you an additional 3 days to claim that order. Once that time period has expired, your order will be cancelled and the items returned to inventory.

There are no refunds on unclaimed items.

Selling Used Board Games (store credit only)

We are always on the lookout for previously owned board games to add to our used board game section. Whether you’re looking to sell an entire collection or just need to purge a few titles from your shelf-of-shame, let us know!

Just follow this simple process:

  1. Email our used board game buyer. You can contact them at robert@gamesandstuffonline.com
  2. Provide a complete list of the games you’re looking to sell. We recommend including anything unique about each game (if applicable) such as “still in shrink wrap” or “cards sleeved” or “kickstarter edition.”
  3. Wait for our buyer to get back to you with questions and/or an offer. Depending on how many collections we have in the queue, it could take up to two weeks to evaluate yours. When we get back to you, we may have additional questions or request that you send photos of certain items. Once our buyer has all the info they need to evaluate your collection, they will send you an offer!
  4. Accept/reject the offer. Email our buyer back and let them know if you accept the offer. Please note: we can only offer STORE CREDIT for used board games at this time.
  5. Bring in your games. If you’ve accepted the offer, you can bring your collection to our store at 7736 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 during regular business hours. Just let any team member know that you’re dropping off a board game collection and we’ll take care of you!
  6. Receive store credit. We’ll provide you with a credit/digital gift card directly to your Fellowship account, or we can apply the amount directly to your next in-store purchase.

A couple of extra things to note:

  1. We unfortunately CANNOT accept collections dropped off without first being evaluated.
  2. Once an offer has been accepted, please be sure to include everything agreed upon in the correspondence with our buyer when you drop off your collection. If you remove or add anything, we will not be able to reevaluate the collection at the time you drop it off. You will have to restart the process with the new additions/subtractions included.
  3. If you haven’t heard from us within three weeks, please reach out again. It is unlikely, but possible, that your email has gone to spam or otherwise fallen through the cracks. We hate when that happens as much as you do.

If you have any questions, please contact robert@gamesandstuffonline.com.

Selling Used Role Playing Games (store credit only)

Do you have some old editions of your favorite RPG that just aren’t seeing the table anymore? Maybe someone out there is looking for the exact books you no longer use. Sell them to us and we can make sure they get into the right hands!

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Email our used board game buyer. You can contact them at  george@gamesandstuffonline.com.
  2. Provide a complete list of the RPGs you’re looking to sell. We recommend including anything unique about each book (if applicable).
Please note: we can only offer STORE CREDIT for used RPGs at this time.
  5. Drop your RPGs off at the store. If you’ve accepted the offer, you can bring your collection to our store at 7736 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 during regular business hours. Just let any team member know that you’re dropping off an RPG collection and we’ll take care of you!
  6. Receive store credit. We’ll provide you with a credit/digital gift card directly to your Fellowship account, or we can apply the amount directly to your next in-store purchase.

If you haven’t heard from us within three weeks, please reach out again. It is unlikely, but possible, that your email has gone to spam or otherwise fallen through the cracks. We hate when that happens as much as you do.

If you have any questions, please contact george@gamesandstuffonline.com.

Selling Trading Cards(store credit or cash)

If you have a Trading Card Game collection, we may be interested in buying it from you. We currently only accept singles for Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana, and Star Wars: Unlimited.

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Bring your cards to the store. You can bring your collection to our store at 7736 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 during regular business hours. Just let any team member know that you’re dropping off a TCG collection and we’ll take care of you! We have card buyers available most days, but it may be a good idea to call ahead to confirm at 410-863-7418.
  2. Let us know how many cards you’re looking to sell. Typically, if you have fewer than 20 cards you are selling, we can evaluate the collection on the spot and get you an offer that day for store credit or cash (collections valued over $100 will be paid by check). If you have a collection that has more than 20 cards, or potentially has cards that may be very highly valued, we’ll need you to fill out a collection form.
  3. Fill out the collection form. Be prepared to provide a description of the collection you’re dropping off along with your contact information. We’ll give you a receipt to take with you as confirmation that we have received the collection.
  4. Wait for our buyer to get back to you with questions and/or an offer. Depending on how many collections we have in the queue, it could take up to two weeks to evaluate yours. New card set releases can impact this timeline as well, so please plan accordingly. Once our buyer has all the info they need to evaluate your collection, they will send you an offer!
  5. Accept/reject the offer. If you do not accept the offer, please let us know, come into the store, indicate on our collection form that you do not accept the offer, pick up your collection, and confirm everything has been returned to you. If you do accept, please come in, indicate on the collection form that you do accept the offer, and reclaim any boxes or containers you may have wanted returned to you.
  6. Receive your store credit/cash. For credit payouts, we’ll provide you with a credit/digital gift card directly to your Fellowship account, or we can apply the amount directly to your next in-store purchase. For cash payouts, any offer over $100 will be paid by check. Store credit is typically 25% more than a cash payout.

A couple of extra things to note:

  1. Please remove cards from sleeves and binders prior to handing over any part of your collection. If cards are turned over in sleeves, we will assume they are part of the collection and will not be returned.
  2. If a collection is dropped off in a card box, deck box, etc., be sure to let us know if you want the containers returned to you. If you do, they will be returned at the time you indicate that you accept the offer and are compensated for the trade.
  3. The compensatory rate at which we evaluate cards in a collection is based on market factors, typically a certain percentage of the listed TCG player value.

If you have any questions, please contact nathan@gamesandstuffonline.com.
