It's true, the Dark Crystal, the actual Dark Crystal, is coming to Games and Stuff.

Many of you may know I'm a serious Jim Henson fan, everything from the Muppets to Labyrinth. But I'm especially a fan of The Dark Crystal. I've got collectibles galore, and a Dark Crystal tattoo covers one of my thighs. Seeing the film in the theater in 1982 is one of those movie-going experiences that's lodged in my mind forever. Brian Froud's designs and Henson's audacious world building have informed my imagination since those halcyon days of the early 1980s.
And now, thanks to a first of its kind auction celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Jim Henson Company, Games and Stuff is the proud owner of the Crystal of Truth - the actual screen used full-sized prop featured in the Netflix series The Dark Crystal The Age of Resistance. The very artifact that would later be known in story as The Dark Crystal.
The Crystal will soon be on permanent display in the store, joining our life-sized Sauron statue and full-sized replicas of the Labyrinth door knockers. You may have already seen the Dark Crystal themed railing go up, or the Garthim statue, as we prepare for the crystal's arrival.
In two weeks, the wait is over! Saturday April 4th, at 12 noon, we'll be unveiling the crystal, and you're invited! We'll also be revealing a new selection of officially licensed Jim Henson Company merchandise!
