The Veterans of the Watch have seen it all. More dangerous things than Wildlings creep beyond the Wall, and the Veterans of the Watch have often survived many engagements that other forces could not hope to face. In large conflicts, one can rely on the Veterans of the Watch to push the line forward, hold against furious assaults, and form the professional core of any Night's Watch army.
